Our previous work (2019)

Conscience: Taxes For Peace Not War organised, and took part in, a wide range of campaigning activities in 2019.

In October we organised the Count the Nuclear Weapons Money event outside the Ministry of Defence in London.  You can read a full account of the action here; Count Nuclear Weapons Money

In November we organised and hosted the 15th International Conference on War Tax Resistance and Peace Tax Campaigns, in Edinburgh.  You can find extensive materials about the conference including video coverage here; International Conference 2019

In December, a group of us from the international conference visited HM Naval Base Clyde at Faslane, where the UK’s nuclear weapons are based.  You can read more about the event here; Conscience at Faslane 2019

Conscience took part in the ceremony on International Conscientious Objectors’ Day in May, and the event on Remembrance Sunday in November.

You can read about all these events in the following Conscience newsletter;
